Weekend Wisdom - A View from the Pew

Today on "View from the Pew" we hear from the Bryce & Nicole Coleman family!

  1. How has Christ and the Church made a difference in your life? Knowing we’re never alone. Jesus is with us through it all and the church provides us with a community/family to call on.

  2. How are you improving your relationship with Christ? Making daily prayer a priority, attending Mass regularly and striving to serve others like Jesus did.

  3. Reflect on attending Mass and what it means to you and your family. Although Mass with three young children can be a challenge, we make it a priority because we feel it’s an important building block for our children and it’s one of the ways we as adults connect with Christ.

  4. Importance of involvement and giving back to your parish? As followers of Christ, we feel parish involvement is one way to practice good stewardship.

  5. Advice to those “on the fence” about getting involved? Getting involved is the best way to get connected with your church family. Seek out another who is involved in your area of interest and ask about their experiences.

  6. Favorite Bible verse and why? Nicole’s favorite Bible verse - Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." A favorite as it is a reminder that regardless of where you are at, God is with you. Even during the toughest of times.

Bryce’s favorite Bible verse - John 15:16 "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you." A favorite because it is a reassurance that God has chosen us. Often times we think we are choosing to go down this path, but we’ve been chosen to do this

Thanks Coleman family!
