Farewell from Fr. Josuva

As I conclude this chapter of my journey with you as parochial vicar, my heart is filled with gratitude and love. Over the past year, we have shared in the joys and challenges of living out our faith together. It has been a privilege to walk alongside you, celebrate the sacraments, and witness the deep faith of these parishes.

As I prepare to move on, I carry with me the memories of our time together- the prayers, the laughter, the shared stories, and the unwavering support you have shown me. You have taught me much about what it means to be a community rooted in Christ. As a new person to the country, I learned everything from you like a child learns from its parents. I love you all. I thank Fr. Mike for having been my brother in this beautiful journey, and he taught me many things from the first day.

Though I am leaving the parishes, please know that you will always be in my prayers. I trust that God's hand will continue to guide each of you, and I am confident that the seeds of faith we have planted together will continue to grow.

Change of place in the priestly life and ministry is nothing new. It cannot be said that the change will take place without pain. I cherish your invaluable friendship and I believe God lives in our friendship.

God has given me the good diocese, the good bishop, the good pastor Fr. Mike Ingold, and the good people to learn many things. I am glad that these parishes have been a great help and a good starting point for me to experience the God who lives in all of us.

Please continue to pray for me as I embark on this new chapter in my ministry. May God bless each of you abundantly, and may we meet again in the bonds of faith and love that unite us as the Body of Christ.

With heartfelt gratitude and prayers,

Fr. Josuva Arualanandu

Thank You From Fr. Mike

I would like to extend my deep thanks to Fr. Josuva for his ministry with us this past year. He has done a fantastic job serving the needs of our parishes. Our diocese, and our parishes, are most grateful to our international priests. It is a sacrifice to leave one’s homeland and undertake a mission in a new place.

Fr. Josuva’s eagerness to build relationships and to bring the Eucharist to all of you has been a blessing and will continue to serve him well I wish him well in his new assignment with the people of St. Gregory and Holy Trinity.

Fr. Mike
